The challenge
Salt bags leaving the filling line had to be palletized in a neat stacking pattern at the end of the line, and operators had to be able to monitor and run the cell easily.
Our solution
Bags reach the robot on a roller conveyor. The Nachi palletizing robot picks each bag with its fork-type gripper and places it on the pallet according to the stacking pattern.
The cell is monitored and controlled with our interface running on a Siemens SIMATIC operator panel: recipe selection, input/output states and alarms are followed on this screen. The emergency stop and start/stop buttons sit on the same panel.
