Measurement (2D – 3D)

Unlike contact measuring devices, camera-based measurement works without touching the part and at line speed: diameter, width, angle, hole position and profile are checked 100% on every part. Telecentric lenses and backlighting give micron-level repeatability.

In 3D measurement, laser profile cameras provide height, volume and surface profile; mold fill level, gasket height and weld seam geometry are checked. Results are tracked with SPC charts and out-of-tolerance trends are caught before defects occur.
