Presence/completeness inspection verifies within seconds that every part that should be on a product (screws, gaskets, labels, cables, clips) is present and correct. In these applications, solved with classical image processing, a reference image is taught for each part and compared on every unit.
The system can be placed at every assembly step, not just at the end of the line; a missing part raises an immediate alarm and the faulty unit cannot move to the next station. Results are logged to a database and traceability reports are passed to ERP.
