Print and Surface Inspection
Texture analysis is the inspection of surfaces such as fabric, leather, rubber and wood to find defects. It is used from textile to metal, from food to packaging.

In print inspection every print is compared with a reference image: color shift, missing print, misregistration and stains are detected. In surface inspection, scratches, dents, bubbles and texture irregularities are made visible with low-angle bar lighting and classified with deep learning.
Area or line scan cameras are used depending on line speed; with encoder triggering the image geometry stays correct even when belt speed changes. Defective regions are logged with coordinates and, if desired, the faulty product is rejected with a pneumatic pusher.
